We are
organizing a Charity Auction with the proceeds to go to The Battered
Women's Shelter. We are asking for 100 quilts and knitted items to
be donated to be put up on the Auction Block. Let's face it, we all
have something that we made that we don't use, and dare I say it,
don't like! ? But it could be someone else's treasure. For each new
quilt and knitted sweater donated, you will receive a 30% discount
that can be used off of one purchase. Smaller items like purses, scarves,
bags, & table runners will receive 15% off. Donate 6 quilts and
you can get 6 discounted purchases!
When an item is donated a picture of it will be posted on our web
page and a byline of who donated it (example: A. Smith). We're even
going to allow online bidding for those who don't live in the Atlanta
area!
The big day for the Auction will be October 8, 2005 here at the store.
We're praying for a nice sunny day!! There will be live music, food,
and games for all to enjoy, so mark your calendars and come spend
the day with us and support Battered Women at the same time.
